December Provides Kingfish a Plenty, Bent Rods and Good Times

We’ve been flat out through December, with heaps of trips with awesome peeps from Aussie, UK, US and other parts of the world, as well as plenty of Kiwis looking to put some fish on the table for Christmas dinner.

The fishing has been awesome, with G Spot being the hot location, primo because it is that bit closer to Tairua.

First up, was the WeFish bots, back for another taste of Kiwi Fishing on Provider, and I teamed up with Tom at Mad Max to get two boat loads of the boys out doing it. Mohammed, Fuzz and the boys really had some awesome kingfish fishing, with G Spot firing, and plenty of nice big snapper in the mix as well.

Another two boater with Tom saw us leaving Whitianga destined for G Spot, the bite was intense from the word go, so we chilled out with a few bevvies and a swim at Cathedral Cove to finish up an epic day on the water!

Iain and the boys were out next and we had another cracker day. We had a close up encounter with a huge Manta Ray in super blue water, a great sign the marlin are pretty close to turning up, if not here already!

Next up was three of NZ’s best tattoo artists Currar, Nathan and Shane spending a day away from their trade getting into some big fat Coro kingfish. Blue water, big fish, beaut clients, can’t go wrong! 😎😎😎

The tail end of the month and this fish moved into the shallows, slow trolling livebaits around the islands was where it was at!

A couple of family affairs rounded out an awesome December - Merry Christmas all!
