Our mission is to promote mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing, by reconnecting men back to nature, the moana, the awa, the ngahere, the whenua, and their own inner power. We do this through experiences, adventures, kōrero, and programs, which reinvigorate, educates and nourish.

We are all Providers in some way for our whanau. To be the best you can be for your whanau, sometimes you need to put your own wellbeing, mind, body and soul, first. Our wellbeing retreats let you take some time out to focus on number one, so you can go back and be the best Provider for your whanau.

We honour our Provider - nature & its creator - by helping men remember that they are a part of it. Fishing and enjoying the fruits of being on and in the water, is still the core of what we do. But there is so much more to what we do. We particularly enjoy showing men how to take less from the ocean, and use a nose to tail approach for maximum nutrition.

Provider is unique in that it specialises in Men's Wellbeing and Mental Health - and making the connection with Men through their interest in and love of fishing and the outdoors.

I realised through my own journey, and lived experience, there were not many avenues out there for Men specifically to discuss and work through stress, burnout and mental distress in a safe space that is relevant to them,

Provider is a journey into the past, exploring many aspects of nature and indigenous culture, to find ways to new ways to heal in the future.

We strip things right back to basics, so that nature can do the healing, looking at diet, movement and remembering the souls true purpose.

I run 4 day Men's Wellbeing Retreats, 6 week wellbeing reset programs, and offer 1 on 1 coaching, speaking and bespoke wellbeing resets. Most men coming on them have led busy lives, are burnt out, and are looking for a break and to find a better way of going forward.

Mental health to me, essentially means your brain is allowed to self heal, and align with the body and soul, as nature intended. Mental health is a place where returning to calm and balance comes naturally. Often to do this we need to let go of things that do not serve us, and our retreats and programs provide a safe judgement free space to do this, with support, knowledge and lived experience, having been there.

Provider is a sustainable business at its core, because it recognises that by healing people, one by one, we also heal the planet. We take men back to the principle of kaitiakitanga, respect and reverence for everything and everyone that we are connected to. This is how we heal.

A Short kōrero on our logo

PROVIDER - Our mission is to reconnect men and their whānau with the life force that nature and our Creator provides. Our offering is a positive energy experience to remind people of their self healing powers.

KAURI - Standing tall in the middle of the logo is the mighty Kauri. Reminding us to be still, strong and patient, to connect deep into the earth to ground ourselves, to stand tall and straight, weathering every storm and reaching to the sky. Tāne Mahuta seperates Papatūānuku (the Earth Mother) and Ranginui (the Sky Father) creating light and life in between.

KAWAKAWA - A plant we connect with on retreat, used in our kai, recipes, & green teas. Soaking in its phytochemcials on our Ngāhere hikois. One of the most potent Rongoā, or plant medicines of Aotearoa.

KOWHAI - a plant which symbolises personal growth,and moving on from the past with a renewed passion and sense of adventure

MAMAKU - a plant which symbolises new life, growth and continual regeneration

MOANA and ISLANDS - honouring the life giving force of our oceans and how powerful they are to release the past, and rejuvenate

WAKA - signifying the journey we go on literally, and metaphorically on our retreats. Passages over the water, and through the dimensions of time and space, back into the now.

THE SUN - Tama-nui-te-rā - from which all life comes, honouring the natural light, and the daily rhythm of the sun, which powers our planet and our bodies

THE MOON - recognising her influence on the ebbs and flows and rhythms of our life on earth. As fisherman her influence on every living thing is undeniable.

ROCK - Honouring the billions of years of creation on this planet we call home, and the intelligence held in it, we can call on, when we need it.
