Men’s Retreat No35. 4 day journey into the self.
Men’s Retreat No35.
We were blessed again to have four beautiful brothers join us in Tairua for a 4 day journey into the self.
The weather was moody ….Tawrhirimatea blew, Ranginui sent down rejuvenating rain just at the right time every time, a reminder there was a lot to clear. We went with the flow , everything meant to be, and our fishing for this retreat was done over the other side of the hill, some beautiful snapper coming on board in the calm of the mussel farms.
The definition of being Brave is opening your heart fully back open to the world, when it’s been crushed by trauma, loss, grief, shame, failure, accidents. The men on this retreat were no strangers to the ups and downs of life.
How do we do this?
The work needs to be done to cleanse these imprints to show up fully in the world. Purifying the energy field & rejoining the self through organic nutrient dense kai, karakia, prayer, pure, cleansing with water, fire, mahinga kai, yoga, Qigong, meditation, journeying, mindfulness, breathwork, hikoi, journalling, wananga, storytelling, sound, expression of our gifts, honouring by others, being fully listened to by others.
We covered the full spectrum of mental health, physical health, & spiritual health, from our collective ancestry. Many cultures. Kotahitanga.
Nga mihi Tāne for turning up & doing the work. Men’s work.
