AOTEAROA MEN’S WELLBEING SUMMIT - ONBOARDING check in
Thank you for signing up for this transformative gathering of good men!
This is a safe space of non judgement, where you can express yourself, and be fully listened to.
We’d like to get the official side of things taken care of here, so we can dive straight into the good stuff at the event.
To make sure everyone goes away feeling better from this event, to make sure we are on the same page, and to keep everyone safe, we’re asking everyone to complete this onboarding check in, please.
HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION
This event is a wellbeing event - health is at the forefront of why we are doing this event.
Our mission is for you to leave feeling better than when you arrived.
So, if at any time you are struggling at this event, raise your hand, talk to one of the leadership team, or any of the brothers here. You are in good hands. We are here to guide you through.
We will do our utmost to keep you safe at this event.
We also believe in personal responsibility and making good individual choices.
We are here to drop into our parasympathetic nervous system, rest and digest, come out of fight or flight, so take time to relax, rest and engage your senses.
Once we have opened this space up, with tikanga, ceremony and protection, please stay the course of the event. Please do not leave Opoutere without first checking out with us.
During any down time, if you choose to leave the property 480 Ohui Road, and coming to and from your accommodation, your safety is in your own hands. Go slow, there is no rush. If you go for a swim, try and do it with someone else.
In the very unlikely event of a tsunami, evacuation point is up the obvious hill to the west of the venue, there is a track right beside the driveway at Wharekawa Lodge.
In the event of a fire, we have a lot of open space on the main field, congregate there and await instructions.
In the event of a medical emergency, we have several trained first aiders, make your situation known to Carl or one of the event team. Thanks for providing your emergency contact details above. In the event of an injury or illness, where you are non communicable, and where it's not possible or reasonable to contact your emergency person, you authorise, by signing up for the attending facilitator to engage any necessary medical assistance, including ambulance, helicopter and hospital.
On our walks, please stay away from any steep drop offs. Use your common sense at all times.
This event is held in nature, and you are signing up for a nature immersion - that includes the elements of air & wind (and your own breathwork), being around a Fire, Water (a swim in the ocean), and the earth (a barefoot walk).
You have a choice to partake in this event, and by making that choice you acknowledge there is an element of personal risk that comes with any adventure in nature. Stay in the present, and follow good common sense.
Our aim is for you to feel safe, and held by nature, so if at any time you feel a level of unhealthy uncomfortableness, reach out to the organiser or one of the facilitators.
By signing up you are agreeing that some events in nature are beyond the organisers control.
NOW ALL THAT IS TAKEN CARE OF - LET’S HAVE AN AWESOME AND SAFE EVENT!
