July 2007 Report - Aldermen Pins Shakedown

Sweet - just picked up my new Stabicraft 659. What a beast - there is going to be some fun ahead!

We were up bright and early to blood the new boat, and setting up a berly trail along the weed line near Tairua Beach picked up a heap of maccies and even a big squid - had all the hallmarks of being an amazing day!

Sure enough we got out to the pins to find the kingfish biting hard - Pink Benthos jigs were the ticket to the action.

We finished up with a mean little softbait session in close and Azza nailed the snapper of the day on a Nuclear Chicken GULP in 8m of water at Sailors
