Jan/Feb 2010 Gamefishing, Striped Marlin at lures in, Slipper Pin fishing well

You just have to love summer! There's nothing like rocking it in boardies and a T shirt for the whole day!!  The kingfish are coming in waves out wide with the good water, and when the pins aren't on, the Slipper Pin has had some very nice big fish up to 28kg on the Shimano Talica. With bait prevalent we've spent most of January fishing a mix of baits and jigs.

A nice sideline to the kingi fishing has been the marlin turning up in numbers in the middle ground, and it took all of 30 seconds of two lures being in the water for the boys to get this nice Stripey on a Black Magic Lumo Grand Slammer

Managed to get some relies and friends of family out on the water around my birthday, and found some awesome fishing for kings in the shallows as well - good thing as Grant ain't got the best sea legs lol
