The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself, by Michael A. Singer
On average our mind has 70,000 thoughts in anyone day. Have you ever taken the time to step back and witness all the stories going on in there? Are they true? Where did these beliefs come from? What would it be like to be free from the constant chatter?
We can be the master of our mind, or it can run us. Be careful what journey the ego mind takes you on. I can categorically say that I have been in both seasons, and so regularly look for ways to quiet the mind, and come back to self and check in with the connection between mind, body and self.
I’ve recently finished reading The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. Every once in a while a book comes along which eloquently explores the mysteries of our existence and in this case, the mind, body, spirit connection, and I feel if you’re someone that is looking to quiet a busy mind, or have often pondered ‘what are we here?’ …..this is a must read.
We all know what it is like to know in our core what is good for us, yet sit back and watch our ego-ic mind steer us down a completely different path. Whether that is a decision about what we consume,or our emotions and how we react to others. I feel like this book provides some really useful tools to seperate our ego mind, and connect into our higher self and true purpose.
I’d highly recommend it, for anyone on the journey of self discovery.
