April 2007 Report - Softbaiting the Coast

There hasn't been much of a need to go far to get in to the action! With work ups galore close to shore there has been some solid snapper and kingfish action within minutes of Tairua harbour.

Scott Fergusson and his new bride had a ball chasing a 20kg kingfish for well over an hour on a new Berkley/Abu Garcia softbait combo the other day, this fish smashed a 7" GULP Lime Tiger in 8m of water and dragged us around for an eternity!
