A quick autumn dive!

If you strike a windless evening this time of year, they are simply the best. My daughter Bella and I snuck out of Tairua harbour on dusk and dived a spot close to home (in fact just out around the line of sight from home) We came across a very alive patch of reef where there were fish everywhere, blue and red moki, plus big inquisitive snapper. Sure enough there were some good nests of Crays underneath. We plucked three for two nights dinner. Last night steamed with goodness from the garden - rocket , tomatoes and cabbage. How good when you can look at a plate and know exactly how it all got there, with nature providing. I’m also pretty lucky to have a daughter who kicks my butt into gear for missions like this!
